Senior Test Engineer - a Global Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, Dallas, Texas

 

Major software development project designing a suite of applications that will manage this semiconductor, integrated circuits manufacturing process.  Team Lead with responsibilities including all aspects of Quality Assurance (QA) and the testing life cycle, development of test plans, test cases, test procedures, as well as test execution in the application areas of Reporting and Work Flow Management.  Involved in the Test Lab architecture design and preparation in both UNIX and WindowsNT environments.

 

Test Engineer and Team Lead - an International Banking Corporation, Basel, Switzerland

 

As a member of the Global Distributed Infrastructure Project (GDIP) and the Customer Migration Management Team, our focus was on creating and implementing technical solutions for GDIP and the seamless process of migrating approximately 600 applications from their multiple legacy systems to WindowsNT.  This was one of Europe’s largest client/server WindowsNT projects with an estimated 25,000 workstations being deployed.  Team Lead with responsibilities including the direction of multiple large-scale testing projects, developed and implemented team-specific policies, procedures, project plans, test methodologies, as well as requirements traceability matrices needed to create a new Customer Migration Testing Team with a staff of 8.  Managed and performed all facets of a full testing lifecycle from defining application requirements that identified critical business needs through test plan preparation and test execution, as well as results validation and reporting.

 

Test Engineer - a Global Telecommunications Corporation, Dallas, Texas

 

The Customer Certification Testing Lab (CCT) was created to support all aspects of end-user testing of programs in a production environment prior to commercial availability.  As a test engineer and program manager, I was responsible for development of test plans and test case scenarios, as well as executing negative and regression testing of Card Transportability Automation and other calling card programs.  Also worked on parallel project implementations of Network Call Redirect, and a nationwide T1 joint-venture installation project.  In addition, worked closely with management on the process of designing the CCT network architecture and facilities through complete installation of six testing laboratories.

 

Team Coordinator - a High-Risk Auto Insurance Corporation, Reston, Virginia

 

Responsibilities included supporting a team of more than 100 Associates in three different locations.  Involved with the Quality Assurance (QA) Testing Team including preparation of test plans, test cases, test procedures, test execution, problem tracking, and issue resolution.

Miscellaneous special projects including corporate first point of contact representing the President and CEO.  Two weeks into this assignment, Perot Systems made an offer of permanent employment to commence in May, 1991.

In addition to supervising administrative staff and daily office operations, responsibilities included the design and implementation of office computer network, arrange purchase, maintenance and repair of all office equipment, design, organize and maintain record-keeping systems and databases.  Designed ads for “Hospital’s Magazine” and the official National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR) logo, as well as coordinated the entire 3rd annual NAPR convention in Tampa, Florida.
